I tasted Impossible Pork at CES 2020

Impossible Food’s offerings might be fake meat, but they’re real food. Impossible Pork isn’t really available for you to buy, though — pricing and availability hadn’t been announced during my taste test. However, you can definitely check out a different Impossible offering at one of 139 Burger Kings, starting January 13th: the Impossible Croissan’wich, available at a limited time, will feature Impossible Sausage.

A Sustainable Alternative for Meat Lovers and the Meat Industry

Meat eaters are our target market. For our products to actually address the problems we are working to address (problems like greenhouse gas emissions, chronic disease, and human rights abuses in the poultry industry), they need to be eaten instead of conventionally raised chickens, not in addition to these products. Our goal is to make nuggets for people who love chicken nuggets but don’t necessarily love all of the negative externalities associated with poultry production.

We were at the kick-off meeting of ScaLABle-MEAT european project

Last week, it was a great pleasure to meet our partners during the kick-off meeting of ScaLABle-MEAT project, funded by EUREKA and the national funding agencies associated with the Eurostars program. It was held in the offices of Meatable (Delft). This ScaLaBlle-MEAT project is coordinated by Daan Luining (CTO and cofounder of Meatable). Four different companies with 4 different and complementary expertises are associated within this consortium: Meatable (Holland), Bit Bio (UK), Ebers (Spain) and HCS Pharma (France), with the objective to develop the technological platform to produce lab-grown meats.
